Jennifer Love Hewitt is joining the cast of US show Criminal Minds this autumn.
The actress will play Kate Callahan, a seasoned undercover agent whose superior work at the FBI has earned her a place in the Behavioural Analysis Unit.
Jennifer has recently been seen in the sitcom Hot In Cleveland, as well as drama series The Client List, which sees her as a single mother working in a massage spa that provides "extras" to clients and is based on a TV film of the same name which she also appeared in.
Her previous TV work has included five seasons starring on CBS' Ghost Whisperer, which aired from 2005 to 2010, and four years on 90s family drama Party Of Five, while she has starred in films such as I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel.
CBS said her Criminal Minds character will be introduced in the series' 10th season premiere, set to air on October 1.
The cast also includes Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore and AJ Cook.
