A chief constable is to be interviewed over claims he leaked emails about police business to people outside the force.
The allegations against Avon and Somerset chief constable Nick Gargan emerged after claims he abused his position as one of the country's most senior police officers by making "inappropriate advances" to younger female staff.
Mr Gargan will be interviewed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) over both the allegations of gross misconduct, as well as the criminal claims that he breached the Data Protection Act.
The police watchdog has so far interviewed more than 50 members of staff from the force and sifted through computer and telephone data as part of its probe.
